The GPZ 8000™ is Minelab’s newest flagship gold detector, engineered for advanced performance in challenging ground. Z-Set concentric toroidal coils offer three coil options to match detection style, target size, and ground conditions. Ground optimized detection delivers maximum depth on small to large gold, with Echo Sonic Pro™ audio providing rich layered sound and enhanced stereo separation for clear target definition. Ground Type Selection

Optimized performance engineered for every ground condition, with precise analysis and adaptation to changing terrain. Four ground types use Echo Sonic Pro™ audio to identify ground conditions through nuanced stereo feedback, while performance is tailored to locate shallow crumbs to deep nuggets in mineralized and conductive soils.

Echo Sonic Pro™ Audio

Experience rich layered audio across every tone with enhanced stereo separation that sends distinct signal components to each ear. Designed for use with true stereo high-fidelity headphones with a flat frequency response. This level of audio clarity reveals subtle target differences and allows accurate identification of promising signals without compromising depth.

Hybrid Shaft System

The Hybrid Shaft System combines carbon fiber and fiberglass to create a strong and lightweight setup that reduces vibration and reverberation during knocks and bumps. A tear-drop shaft profile maintains consistent alignment and prevents unwanted rotation, and the fiberglass lower shaft minimizes detection noise for clearer audio on subtle signals.

Z-Set Concentric Toroidal Coils

The Z-Set Concentric toroidal coil range includes the Z18 18", Z17 17", and Z13 13" coils, each engineered for specific ground conditions and reduced ground noise in mineralized soils. Z18 focuses on maximum depth and stability in highly mineralized ground, allowing deeper penetration to locate medium to large gold while efficiently covering wide open areas with reduced ground noise. Z17 is designed for high EMI and conductive soils, with stable operation and strong target response on small to medium gold. Z13 suits vegetation-heavy terrain and supports accurate detection of small to medium gold, with balanced handling and reduced fatigue over long sessions.
